Overnight Closures A1(M) 21 March to 03 May 2024

Part of the A1(M) in West Yorkshire is to be closed overnight for several weeks while a bridge is repainted.

National Highways said steel beams on the Tenter Hill Bridge needed the work to prevent “deterioration”.

It means the northbound carriageway between junctions 44 (A64 turn off) at Bramham and 45 at Boston Spa will be shut overnight from 21 March for up to three weeks.

The southbound carriageway between the same junctions will be shut each night from 10 April for up to three weeks.

The closures would be in place each night, Monday to Friday, and every other weekend, between 20:00 and 06:00

Monday 22nd April to Wednesday 24th April
Road Closure for Bridge Inspection
The River Wharfe bridge by Bridgefoot is to be inspected between 20:00 and 06:00 hrs on each day and will be closed to traffic for this period each day.
The diversion route is via the A168 Privas Way and its junctions for both north and south bound traffic.
Boston Road will be for access only to premises south of the River.
