The Equi-Ads Ireland Irish Masters

Well done Dermott. What an atmosphere and what a performance from some of Irelands most experienced to the up and coming young riders hot on their heels. The Equi-Ads Ireland Irish Masters 2008 certainly lived up to expectations with fences reaching 1m 60 and edge of the seat entertainment.
From 31 starters 20 went through to the second round. The nominated fences rose and fell but the standard just got higher and higher. Jordan Coyle had huge support and the local boy finished a very creditable 6th. How long before he wins his first Masters........ my guess is it won't be too far away and it will bring the roof down if the spectators response on Saturday night was anything to go by.
Robbie Murdy and Flight and Philip Gaw on Ballyknock boy both have a lot to be proud of and are consistent combinations who never fail to give it their all.
Congratulations to all the competitors and whilst Dermott Lennon and Hall mark Elite deservedly emerged victorious with jumping that was a class apart I can't help but give Jordan the 'one to watch' award.
I am looking forward to 2009 already.
